At a defining moment when global corporations are moving from “sustainability commitments” to “evidence-based governance,” Taiwan’s O’right was honored with two major awards at the Reuters Global Sustainability Awards 2025: Net Zero Transformation Award and Net Zero Supply Chain Decarbonisation Award.
Out of the three Net Zero award categories established globally, O’right captured two, becoming the only double winner among more than 800 participating companies from industries including finance, energy, manufacturing, technology, and beauty. When O’right’s name was announced, the audience responded with thunderous applause, placing “Taiwan” in the international spotlight of London.
The Reuters jury commended O’right: “O’right demonstrates outstanding sustainability leadership, leaving a profound mark on industrial transformation. With a bold and forward-looking vision, the team developed scalable innovation to decarbonize consumer products, setting a benchmark for large corporations worldwide. This honor is truly well deserved. We look forward to O’right continuing to lead and redefine new heights in sustainable development.”
This statement became one of the most notable moments of the ceremony, symbolizing international recognition of Taiwan’s small and medium-sized enterprises in sustainability governance.

O’right is one of the first SMEs in Asia to adopt both TCFD (Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) and TNFD (Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures). With SGS third-party verification and ISO 14068-1 carbon neutrality for both organization and products, O’right has built a sustainability governance framework where governance itself serves as evidence.
The company achieved RE100 full renewable energy two years ahead of schedule, institutionalizing energy and emissions governance to turn sustainability from vision into a verifiable and auditable system.
The case that won the Net Zero Supply Chain Decarbonisation Award was O’right’s collaboration with FamilyMart to develop the Bio Sustainable Beauty series, using recycled coffee grounds as core materials. This partnership successfully made product carbon footprints transparent, representing collective sustainability action from business, retail, and consumers.
O’right’s governance model goes beyond carbon reduction by integrating climate risk, natural capital, and supply chain oversight into corporate decision-making. Through its ESG control systems and third-party verification, each sustainability goal is linked to measurable data, forming a corporate-level climate governance standard.
Over the past four years, O’right has continuously achieved organizational and product-level carbon neutrality, promoting transparency in product life cycles, regenerative packaging design, and institutionalized green procurement. This governance model has been cited by EU policymakers and academic institutions as a best practice for SMEs achieving net zero governance, showing that Taiwan is not only a practitioner but also a demonstrator of global sustainability leadership.

O’right founder Steven Ko stated: “Sustainability is no longer about image. The future belongs not to those who talk the most about being green, but to those who can be verified, audited, and trusted.” He emphasized that future sustainability competition will not depend on who appears the greenest, but on who can be verified and trusted.
From brand action to system innovation, O’right not only earned applause on London’s international stage but also turned “Taiwan” into a symbol of trust in global net zero governance. This victory represents not only corporate honor but also the concrete proof of how SMEs can advance onto the global stage through institutional power.
